Originally intended to be ported to Sega’s Dreamcast, that plan was shelved, and a special version known as Daytona USA 2001 was released instead. With its availability on home consoles soon, gamers won’t have to rely on emulation alone to enjoy the classic title. The next Like A Dragon will also include arcade games like Fighting Vipers 2, Flicky, and Galaxy Force.
Like its predecessor, Daytona USA 2 features three courses – Beginner, Advanced, and Expert – with the Expert course covering two laps over a five-mile distance. A big change was the ability to choose a car and corresponding driver, each with various levels of capabilities to match the skills of the players.
