The +92Disrupt conference, hosted by the Katalyst Labs, brought together over 850 tech startup founders, investors, and students to explore how Pakistan’s youth can leverage technology to drive economic transformation. The two-day event aimed to highlight the country’s massive potential in IT, technology, and related sectors for investment. Katalyst Labs CEO and founder Jehan Ara addressed the audience, emphasizing the important role technology can play in resolving public issues.

She stressed the need for maximum support from relevant quarters to the numerous tech companies and startups in the country. The event provided an opportunity for tech startup operators to interact with one another and learn from each other’s experiences. Prominent speakers at the event included eminent figures in the IT and financial sectors, such as Zaid Inam, Maheen Rahman, Asad Malik, and Atif Awan.

An AI Challenge Competition was also held during the conference, with a girls’ team from the NED University of Engineering and Technology emerging as the winners. The winning team expressed immense happiness that their application was adjudged the top tech innovation at the event.
