The new line of Via Carota Craft Cocktails
You don’t have to be up-to-date on New York City’s ever-evolving restaurant scene to have heard of Via Carota. The charming West Village trattoria — which is run by business and life partners and James Beard award-winning chefs Jody Williams, of Buvette, and Rita Sodi, of I Sodi — has been perpetually packed since it opened in 2014. And the restaurant’s highly-anticipated cookbook was released a few months ago.
The popular trattoria is known for perfecting simple Italian dishes like cacio e pepe, peas and prosciutto, fried rabbit, and wild boar ragu with pappardelle. Not to mention their famous insalata verde, which is so beguilingly delicious that it went viral throughout the food world. Fans are still trying to figure out how to replicate the recipe at home.
Via Carota’s new line of bottled libations includes negronis, martinis, and bourbon-based cocktails
And while home cooks may never be able to reproduce the restaurant’s traditional Italian dishes in their own kitchens, it’s now possible to pour its classic craft cocktails in their home bars. Via Carota Craft Cocktails are now available in three categories of classic cocktails. In the negroni family, there’s the classic negroni as well as a white negroni. In the martini category, opt for the restaurant’s signature martini, or an espresso variation. And in the bourbon-based cocktail family, you can sip Via Carota’s signature Manhattan or an Old Fashioned.
“Via Carota is a love letter to the moments, big and small, that deserve to be celebrated,” said Jody Williams. “We work tirelessly in the restaurant to have our guests taste the soul, the culture, and the emotion infused into every bite of food and sip of a drink.”

All of the cocktails are ready to pour, which means they’re near-effortless for entertaining. Plus, the packaging is so beautiful and elegant, the bottles really upgrade the look of a home bar cart. (Once the last drop is gone from the gorgeous chevron-patterned heavy glass bottles with hammered gold-topped corks, the attractive vessels are ideal for repurposing to store other bar essentials like homemade bitters or shrubs.)
Via Carota Craft Cocktails — which are available in classic negroni, white negroni, old fashioned, signature Manhattan, espresso martini, and signature martini — are currently available for $39 per 375-ml bottle. That’s enough for four to six cocktails, depending on how generously you pour. Sets of two cocktails, which come with two cocktail glasses, are sold for $99. Shipping is available to most states, and it’s free for orders over $75. The brand also has plans to expand the line soon with additional cocktails and formats.
“We’ve worked for years to perfect our recipes in the kitchen and behind the bar, and we’re honored that VCCC can take this inspiration and allow consumers to experience the finest craft cocktails, anywhere,” said Rita Sodi. “We hope you love the cocktails as much as we do.”
