Pusha T's Steak-Cooking Skills Have The Internet Up In Arms – Delish

Pusha T has been dropping albums, clinching Grammy nominations, and achieving critical acclaim since he first entered the game in the ’90s. What he may be best known for, however, is starting beef with other rappers. He’s released diss tracks about Drake, Lil Wayne, and even the McRib.

It’s clear Pusha T is no stranger to beef, but in a series of Instagram stories posted by his wife, Virginia Williams, it appears he’s not as well versed in cooking it.

For Valentine’s Day, Pusha T decided to treat Williams to a homemade steak. He texted her to ask for advice, and Williams relayed some of the same tips Delish uses in our own tutorial for pan frying steak.

Some time later, the rapper replied with a photo of his progress. And the steak certainly wasn’t well done—and we’re not talking about the internal temperature.

Beyond the HARD sear on the steak’s exterior, there were cuts along the edge of the cut of meat, which likely allowed most of its moisture to escape in the pan.

Williams wrote, “Zang” and asked, “Did you burn it?”

Naturally, the internet had a lot to say about it. Screenshots of the Instagram story were reposted to Twitter, and users chimed in with their own opinions.

User @RHYDIZEL wrote, “I thought that was wooden stool leg oh my lord”

“Is that Groot?” asked user @wes_nship.

Even the official Steak-umm Twitter account dragged him: “Misteaks were made”

Thankfully, both Pusha T and Williams can joke about the steak mishap. But if he’s looking to avoid the same result next time, we invite him to check out our favorite steak recipes for some guidance.
