A man charged with selling drugs for cryptocurrency on the dark web will face court on the New South Wales Mid North Coast today.

Police will allege the 55-year-old received more than $1.4 million in cryptocurrency in exchange for drugs more than 450 times between March 2018 and April 2023.
Detectives from the State Crime Command arrested the man in a car park in Kempsey yesterday morning after a months-long investigation into alleged drug deals using dark web marketplaces.
A home was later searched at Yarravel near Kempsey, where police allegedly found cannabis plants and seeds, almost to $4,000 in cash and about $1,000 worth of cryptocurrency.
The man is facing eight charges, including supply prohibited drugs, cultivate prohibited plant and deal with property proceeds of crime.
It has also been alleged the man used some of the cryptocurrency to buy property.
