Elderly no more: SFE re-brands

Solicitors for the Elderly, the membership organisation for specialist lawyers supporting vulnerable and older people, has announced a change of name to The Association of Lifetime Lawyers. The change, from September, ‘will better highlight the vital support offered by members to the public’, the group said.

SFE was founded in 1996. Its lawyers advise in areas such as wills, LPAs, care fees and inheritance tax planning.

The rebrand follows a 12-month review. Lakshmi Turner, chief executive, said: ‘SFE is 27 years old. Whilst our mission and the commitment of our members has stayed the same, a lot has also changed since then. We needed to think about our name and the way we describe ourselves so the people who need our members most, know we’re here. It’s time for SFE to enter a new stage of its lifetime.

‘Moving to The Association of Lifetime Lawyers acknowledges that our members are the most qualified lawyers in the country when it comes to supporting clients throughout their lifetime, however complicated their circumstances are.’
