Event will celebrate California Citrus State Historic Park’s 30th anniversary – The Press-Enterprise


California State Parks and its nonprofit partner, the Friends of California Citrus Park, invite the community to a concert and program to celebrate the 30th anniversary of California Citrus State Historic Park.

The event will be held Sept. 30 at the park, 9400 Dufferin Ave., Riverside, and begins with a 5:30 p.m. reception at the visitors’ center.

The program, “Celebrating Citrus History Through Music,” begins at 6:30 p.m. in the concourse area and features the Riverside Concert Band performing music from various eras to complement historical information presented by State Parks interpretive staff, according to a news release.

Food and drinks will be available to purchase, from vendors including Dad’s BBQ & Catering, Crepes Tree and Nana’s Candied Pecans.

General admission is free with first come, first served seating. VIP seating is available for $50, which includes preferred seating, a charcuterie box, beer or wine ticket and macaroon cookies. Tickets for VIP seating are available at Citruspark30.eventbrite.com.

Parking is $7.
