Two Japanese startups to compete in Startup World Cup 2023 final – The Japan Times

Two Japanese startups are now slated to vie for a $1 million investment prize against startups from across the world, after winning the Japan rounds of the Startup World Cup.

Aillis and Homma Group won preliminary rounds in Tokyo and Kyoto respectively, capturing the attention of the judges in a pitch competition against rivals in each city to win the ticket to the San Francisco final in December.

Topping nine other rivals, Aillis secured victory on Friday by presenting its medical device called Nodoca, which uses an AI-camera to collect pictures of the throat and develop an image database to help diagnose disease.
