Amazon has joined a host of tech companies, investors and speakers who have announced they will not be participating in the forthcoming Web Summit event in Lisbon following controversial comments made by the conference’s chief executive Paddy Cosgrave.
A representative for Amazon Web Services (AWS), the cloud computing arm of the company, confirmed late on Friday that the company would not be in Lisbon for the event next month.
