Retractable wooden bleachers like these are a common sight in U.S. school gymnasiums.
I had no idea there was a more deluxe version. Hamari, an “auditorium furniture solutions” company based in Porvoo, Finland, makes these Telescopic Seats that are kitted out with upholstered folding chairs:
The company also offers a Primo Telescopic version that can equip the chairs with armrests and writing tablets, as well as gas springs to make deploying the system easier. Sadly, they don’t provide any images of these features.
