It’s good news for disappointed chocolate fans as B&M are selling a discontinued bar you’ll remember from your childhood.

You can always find a lot of goodies while strolling through the confectionary aisleat the budget retailer, but the one thing nobody expected to see again are Nestle Milk Chocolate Animal Bars and guess what, they’re only 29p.

It was only a few months ago when Nestle confirmed that their beloved Animal Bars would be discontinued. The chocolate treats were around for 60 years and each bar contained a game printed on the inside of the wrapper.

The news of the culling of Animal Bars came along with the tragic update announcing that Caramac was also biting the dust

In a statement shared about the permanent departure of both bars, Nestle said: ‘There has been a steady decline in its sales over the past few years and unfortunately we had to make the difficult decision to discontinue it.’

Fans did not take the news lightly. X user @hieeeitsray tweeted: ‘Nestle discontinue the Caramac AND the Animal Bar like it’s nothing? You’ve just destroyed two of the greatest things about my childhood, pals. Thanks a bunch! Bumholes.’

Another chocolate lover, known as @Carmel1878, complained: ‘Nestle have gone too far now! I love an animal bar… don’t you dare.’

And Adam Hines (@Adam_TheCat) shared: ‘First Caramac and now Animal Bar @Nestle are you serious? two of the best ever bars. Carry on with these poor choices and your entire company will be gone before you know it.’

However, thanks to B&M, you may still be able to get your paws on some leftover Animal Bar choccies while stocks last.

This is not the first time an axed chocolate bar was unearthed at B&M. Back in January, shoppers at the bargain retailer found Nestle’s Caramac priced at £1.25 for a multipack.

B&M is more than just a place to buy one of our fallen snack heroes, you can also grab completely unexpected new products. Shoppers managed to find Black Forest Gateu Maltesers on the shelves, which were imported from Australia.

The tasty treat is said to take inspiration from the ‘classic German dessert, with that famous crisp malt centre coated in a smooth dark choc that comes with notes of cherry and sponge cake’.

Who knows what people will find there next!
