Every Thursday, the restaurant hosts a free dance class. Their menu comprises Haitian Caribbean fusion dishes and a dash of American cuisine. Popular dishes include fritay, rice, bean sauce, fried fish, black rice, fried meatballs, shrimp, legume, octopus and fried turkey in sauce. There are plenty of dishes to try that “rock your world,” including tasso cabrit (fried goat), lalo, and bouillon, which are traditional Haitian dishes.

The restaurant has been a staple in Brockton for over a decade and is shifting how people feel about dinner and a “show.” The restaurant prides itself on keeping the Haitian culture alive and well by hosting parties and weekly events to keep people engaged. After 9 p.m., you can expect to hear live music or a DJ spinning tunes. If you didn’t go to Tamboo for the music, you’re definitely going for the food. The menu includes red snapper steamed in sauce and spices, griyo (fried pork), djon djon rice (black mushroom rice), coconut shrimp, fried plantains and Caribbean chicken marinated in sauce. The drinks are notable for a twist of tropical Caribbean flavors from the Haitian Persuasion, packed with imported Haitian rum.
