Norway shares higher at close of trade; Oslo OBX up 0.70%



Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Oslo, the added 0.70%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the were TGS NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:), which rose 6.16% or 5.95 points to trade at 102.50 at the close. Kongsberg Gruppen ASA (OL:) added 4.85% or 54.00 points to end at 1,168.00 and Tomra Systems ASA (OL:) was up 2.90% or 4.40 points to 156.20 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Hoegh Autoliners ASA (OL:), which lost 7.59% or 10.10 points to trade at 123.00 in late trade. Frontline Ltd (OL:) declined 2.00% or 4.50 points to end at 220.00 and Borr Drilling Ltd (OL:) shed 1.83% or 0.95 points to 51.05.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 162 to 116 and 31 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.61% or 0.43 to $70.34 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.51% or 0.38 to hit $74.58 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.61% or 16.60 to trade at $2,746.00 a troy ounce.

EUR/NOK was down 0.06% to 11.84, while USD/NOK fell 0.13% to 10.97.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.17% at 104.10.
