How did you re-envision the set from past years?
While we took some inspiration from the past, on color palette and aesthetic, technologically we went further. We updated our seating layout with new desks, adding built-in personal data touchscreens for those reporting, enabling them to drill deeper into the results. We also added additional touchscreen technology on-set to enhance our visual presentation of the results for our audience.
What are some new features that you added for 2024?
This year, we looked to provide more functionality for our powerhouse political team on-set who will monitor and analyze the results in real-time for as long as we’re on the air, and while it won’t necessarily be noticeable to the viewer, we’ve also created more space for producers on the studio floor as well.
What’s a set detail that viewers at home might not notice but will be a key part of Election Night?
The primary background screen in the studio is now a curved LED screen to mimic the other curved screen opposite the anchor desk. Not only does it balance the set, we think this change puts the powerhouse political team front and center on election night, free of visual clutter.
What input do the anchors/on-screen talent have?
We work closely with our anchors on nearly every aspect of our coverage, and the set is no different. They have lots of input.

Our set is a cohesive environment constructed to showcase our best-in-class team and their reporting to our viewers in the most informative way possible.
