Every so often, people seek methods to shed a few pounds.
After all, we all aspire to be healthy and look our best. However, a simple weight loss drink could be the key to success.
TikTok creator @myhealthandbeautyrecipes has suggested that a straightforward juice recipe can assist people in “torching calories like crazy”. The best part is – it only requires a few ingredients to whip up.
He claimed that the natural “fat burning” juice will accelerate your metabolism and aid you in losing weight rapidly. In the video, he instructed: “First, take a banana, cut it into pieces, and mash it well in a bowl.
“Bananas are high in fibre, but low in calories. High fibre intake is linked to reduced body weight. Next, add the juice of one lemon, and mix well.”
He added: “Lemon juice is packed with antioxidants, vitamins and fibre, which boost your metabolic rate and aid in detoxification. Peel half a cucumber and grate it into a new bowl. Cucumbers are low in calories and high in water.”
Next, he peels a piece of ginger and grates it into the mix. This is said to speed up weight loss, and help to reduce hunger.
Once all in a pot, add three cups of boiling water, and let the mixture soak. After a few hours, strain the mixture and you’re good to go. If you drink it 15 minutes before each meal it’s said your body fat will “transform” by the day.
The video has been viewed thousands of times since it was shared, and people are keen to try it. Many really hope it makes a difference to their weight loss efforts.
One hopeful individual shared: “I really hopes this works for me, because I did the lemon, salt and sugar recipe and it didn’t work.”
Another chimed in with: “Thank you. I will try.” A third person also added: “Great tip.”
The touted super juice might seem like a miracle recipe, but does it actually deliver results? It appears that each component does indeed have its perks.
Bananas could be your ally in the battle against the bulge, especially when eaten as part of a well-rounded diet. Their high fibre content is great to keep hunger pangs at bay and they’re also high in potassium.
However, moderation is key, as bananas do pack more calories than some other fruits. Keep this in mind to avoid banana-induced calorie overload.
Cucumbers, on the other hand, are a dieter’s dream with a 300g cucumber containing only 45 calories. They’re brimming with antioxidants, and practically drowning in water at 96%, which can trick your stomach into feeling full.
Lemons bring a burst of vitamin C and antioxidants to the table, potentially bolstering the immune system and even giving your metabolism a boost.
Studies also suggest ginger might be a secret weapon for weight loss by accelerating metabolism and burning fat, as well as possibly curtailing body weight and the absorption of fat.
