MFs buy renewables, cement and pharma in October




Amidst October’s volatile stock market and a dip in the Nifty, Indian fund managers focused on long-term growth sectors. They invested in renewable energy companies due to increasing electricity demand and government initiatives. Anticipating a rise in government spending, cement stocks also attracted investments. However, some managers, wary of further market corrections, sought refuge in defensive pharmaceutical stocks.
