Russia shares higher at close of trade; MOEX Russia Index up 1.57%



Investing.com – Russia equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Moscow, the gained 1.57%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the were OK Rusal MKPAO (MCX:), which rose 7.33% or 2.70 points to trade at 39.62 at the close. ADS Ozon Holdings PLC ORD SHS (MCX:) added 4.54% or 150.00 points to end at 3,457.50 and Aeroflot PJSC (MCX:) was up 3.79% or 2.33 points to 63.86 in late trade.

Biggest losers included PIK SHb PJSC (MCX:), which lost 0.59% or 2.90 points to trade at 491.00 in late trade. PhosAgro PJSC (MCX:) declined 0.09% or 5.00 points to end at 5,433.00 and GDR Globaltrans Inves ORD SHS (MCX:) 0.00% or 0.00 points to 519.25.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 174 to 66 and 15 ended unchanged on the Moscow Stock Exchange.

The , which measures the implied volatility of MOEX Russia Index options, was up 0.06% to 33.92.

In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.24% or 6.15 to $2,566.75 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 2.43% or 1.67 to hit $67.03 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 2.00% or 1.45 to trade at $71.11 a barrel.

USD/RUB was up 0.42% to 100.00, while EUR/RUB rose 0.41% to 105.28.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 106.69.
