Ticker: CNN Orders Season 2 of Have I Got News For You

Top of the Ticker: CNN seems to be pleased with the performance of its satirical news show, Have I Got News For You. The Roy Wood Jr.-helmed American version of the long-running British series scored a Season 2 order. Have I Got News For You has paired well with CNN’s encore presentation of Real Time with Bill Maher on Saturday nights, retaining a significant portion of its lead-in audience. “For its inaugural season, Have I Got News For You has been a welcome and lively extension of the CNN brand, and our viewers continue to show enthusiasm for comic relief on Saturday nights,” Amy Entelis EVP of talent CNN Originals and creative development said in a statement.

Anniversary Celebrations: CNN’s African Voices Changemakers celebrates 15 years, making it one of the network’s longest-running series. To celebrate the milestone, CNN recently held a special live taping in Lagos, Nigeria. The show’s host and CNN International correspondent Larry Madowo interviewed Nigerian singer Yemi Alade, who also performed her single Tomorrow. The special episode will air on CNN International on Nov. 30—check local listings for times.

Tis the Season: The holiday season spirit is in the air and Fox News is getting into a festive mood with its fifth annual All-American Christmas Tree Lighting. The event takes place on Friday at 5 p.m. during a special edition of The Five, with the show’s co-hosts Harold Ford Jr., Greg Gutfeld, Dana Perino, Judge Jeanine Pirro, Jessica Tarlov, and Jesse Watters light the 50-foot tall tree in Fox Square. Singer-songwriter Gavin DeGraw will be on hand for a live performance.
