We’re entering the final month of 2024, and although things are certainly winding down for the year, it’s not like it was 5+ years ago because games of substance still release this month.
The biggest release in December will be Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, which will be on Xbox and PC this month and released on PS5 in 2025. Suppose you’re not interested in that single-player adventure and you’re after some new competitive multiplayer. In that case, it’s going to be the free-to-play game Marvel Rivals, which had a successful beta earlier this year. Between the release of Infinity Nikki, FANTASIAN Neo Dimension, and FAIRY TALE 2, there’s enough for you anime fans to get a taste of JRPG or farming.
Another game this month that could be one of next year’s biggest releases is Path of Exile 2, which is launching into Early Access. You can commit to a bunch of different founders packs when checking out the game, or, of course, you can wait until the full release.
In the world of virtual reality, two of the biggest games of the year are releasing this month. Alien: Rogue Incursion from developer Survios looks to be bringing the scares that’ll make you need to take regular breaks from your VR headset. Luckily, you can pair that with exploring the epic world seen within Skydance’s Behemoth, which is also out this month.
Here are all the major video games that will be released in December 2024, paired with some smaller games we’re keeping our eyes on.
