Gison, a high-tech security solution company, announced on the 2nd that its wireless backdoor hacking detection system, Alpha-H, has obtained performance certification from the Ministry of SMEs and Startups.

Alpha-H, which was launched for the first time in Korea in April 2022, is a system that can respond to wireless backdoor hacking threats even in network separation environments such as Internet Data Center (IDC) and large-scale server rooms. In particular, it is characterized by the ability to quickly detect and remove hacking devices through the reliable wireless signal location tracking function.

The company explained that the performance certification was based on Gison’s patented technology (No. 10-2271797), and passed strict screening under the Small and Medium Business Product Purchase Promotion and Market Support Act. Performance certification is a system that proves the performance and excellence of products developed by SMEs. It is included in the priority purchase of technology development products by public institutions, and qualifications for private contracts with public institutions and local governments are also granted.

Recently, as the threat of backdoor hacking through the IT equipment supply chain has increased, interest in wireless security systems is also increasing. The National Assembly and the government are considering ways to include hardware security verification procedures in the National Intelligence Service’s multi-layered security system (MSL) while preparing related legislation to solve this problem.

“Wireless backdoor hacking is a new threat that is difficult to defend with existing security systems,” said Han Dong-jin, CEO of Gison. “There is a growing need for companies to preemptively respond to such new threats through the introduction of a Zero Trust-based security system.”
