LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship Scheme 2024 launched for these students; Know how it works and last date to apply on licindia.in


The Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has announced a new scholarship scheme called-Golden Jubilee Scholarship Scheme 2024 for students from economically weaker families. The official X (Ex Twitter) handle of the country’s biggest life insurance company posted about the launch of this scheme. The application process for this scheme is online and the last date to apply for this scholarship scheme is December 22, 2024. The online application process for this scholarship scheme is expted to start on December 8, 2024.

“Only online applications are to be submitted through the link on the home page at www.licindia.in,” said LIC on its website.

Who is eligible to apply for LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship Scheme 2024?

This scholarship scheme is meant for students from economically weaker families. LIC said this Golden Jubilee Foundation Scholarship Scheme 2024 is available on an India basis to students who have passed standard Xth/XIIth/diploma or equivalent examination with minimum 60% or equivalent CGPA grade in the academic year 2021-22, 2022-23, or 2023-24 and have taken First Year submission in the academic year 2024-25.

Details of the LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship Scheme 2024

General Scholarships for Boys and Girls pursuing higher studies in:
● Medicine, Engineering, graduation in any discipline, Diploma Course in any field or integrated courses.
● Vocational course through government recognised colleges/ institutes or courses in industrial training institutes (ITI)
Special scholarships for girl child for two years pursuing studies in:
● Class XI & XII/ intermediate under 10+2 pattern.
● Diploma course in any field for two years after Xth.

“A brighter future begins with the right opportunity. We are proud to announce the launch of the GJF Scholarship Scheme 2024. Applications will open on 08.12.2024, available online for eligible students across the country,” LIC said on X (formerly Twitter).

How will the scholarship application get processed

Students will be required to send their applications online. “Once an online application is submitted, the candidate will get acknowledgement on the email ID provided by him in the online application. Further correspondence will be made by the Divisional Office which is mentioned in the acknowledgement mail. The candidate should ensure to submit his correct email id and contact number for communication at a later date, if required,” said LIC on its website.

Successful applicants will get the amount credited into their bank account. According to the LIC website, “The Scholarship amount will be transferred to the Bank Account of the selected scholar through NEFT. In case the candidate is selected for scholarship, the Bank Account details and IFSC code and copy of cancelled cheque with name of beneficiary is compulsory. In case of merged banks, the new IFSC Code of the Bank should be mentioned. The Bank Account to which the amount to be transferred has to be active and in case it is dormant, the same should be activated before the details are provided. The maximum balance allowed under the bank account should also be checked.”
