Give Currys your old smartwatch and save big on the latest Apple Watch

The Apple Watch helped invent the smartwatch as the wrist-based computer you can pair with your phone to track your notifications as well as health and fitness metrics such as steps and running routes. You can now make payments, store your loyalty cards and boarding passes or even download music to stream to your headphones and leave your phone at home entirely.

The Apple Watch Series 10 is the latest model from Apple with a larger screen with smaller bezels than older versions, faster charging speeds, a new sleep tracking feature and a polished black option for the aluminium version that looks great. It’s so good that we awarded it a rare five stars in our review.

If you’ve been thinking of taking the plunge and picking up the Series 10, the good news is that Currys has a stunning £50 off several models in its January sale. Normally the Series 10 starts from £399 for the smaller 42mm aluminium Bluetooth only model, but you can get it right now for £349. That’s a great discount – latest-generation Apple products rarely see such big savings soon after launch.

Not only that but Currys is offering up to a further £50 off the asking price when you trade-in any smartwatch. So, if you have an aging device and fancy an upgrade, you might be able to get the latest Apple Watch Series 10 for £299 – a real bargain.

This is how Currys says the trade-in works, a button for which you can find to click on the Apple Watch Series 10 listing page:

“Finish buying your new device. We’ll then send you an email, explaining how to complete your trade-in.

“Send us your old device for free – we’ll give it a good once over & check it’s suitable for trading in.

“Once checked, we’ll process your payment and send it to your bank account!”

If you’d rather go for the larger screen 46mm version, which is the Apple Watch with the biggest display ever, that is currently also on sale at £379, £50 off the RRP. This is the model Express.co.uk regularly wears and recommends if you can handle the larger screen because text is easier to read and battery life is better simply because Apple has squeezed a bigger cell in compared to the 42mm version.

These are deals on the black model, and if you pick one with Apple’s Sport Band you need to make sure you get the right size – either S/M or M/L, Alternatively, you can opt for any colour aluminium Apple Watch Series 10 with a fabric Sport Loop, which is designed to fit all sizes of wrist.

This includes £50 discounts on the titanium Apple Watch Series 10, which is a more premium version. Some of these even come with the Milanese loop, one of Apple’s swankiest metal Watch straps.

Though you’ll have to charge the Series 10 about once per day or overnight, you can also wear it as you slumber to record your sleep, the metrics of which Apple has greatly improved in recent years. Thanks to the faster charging, we pop it on the charger about twenty minutes before bedtime and find we’ve enough juice to get us through the night.
