Scottish tech services company adds Kin + Carta executive to strategic growth team – Scottish Business News

Digital product development consultancy Waracle has signalled its ambition to scale quickly with the appointment of a new Chief Growth Officer from rival Kin + Carta.

Adam Grant-Jones will join Waracle, to increase the company’s presence in London and spearhead its organic growth. He was formerly MD of Kin + Carta’s UK business.

He is joined at the Dundee-headquartered company by Flora Feldman – the former head of growth for Northern Europe at Kin + Carta – who joins as Growth Director focusing on serving existing London-based clients and increasing its impact within the capital.

The appointments follow a busy 2024 for Waracle with the installation of a new CEO in David Tuck and the acquisition of digital design and technology agency Screenmedia, based in Glasgow.

Grant-Jones and Tuck are joined by Sharon Dickie, Sara Kinnear and founder Mike Wharton on the new senior leadership team focused on delivering digital products trusted by millions of people across the UK.

Waracle specialises in mobile apps and digital products and has a client base that includes Standard Life, Royal London, ScottishPower Energy Networks, Roche and Imperial College London. With a particular strength in financial services, energy, health and mobility, the company is backed by growth capital investor BGF.

Since Tuck’s arrival, Waracle has added ten new clients and 30 new hires, taking its headcount to more than 200 in its four offices: Glasgow, Edinburgh, London and Dundee.

The firm has also today revealed a new Scottish growth hub in Edinburgh based in premises on King’s Stables Road, in the shadow of Edinburgh Castle.

Grant-Jones, who has worked on brands including Ford, Unilever, Santander and Tesco, said: “I’m excited about our growth over the next few years. Waracle has built a great portfolio of long-tenured clients and exciting recent wins that will provide a foundation for growth. With the talented teams here, Waracle is well-positioned to be the next great consultancy.”

Waracle CEO David Tuck said: “We have a clear plan of what we want to achieve over the coming years and are investing in the right areas to ensure we get there.”

He added: “Adam is someone I trust implicitly and have worked with closely for several years. He brings the ideal personal attributes and experience to drive Waracle forward. I know that, alongside the rest of the team, he will ensure our strategic growth hub flourishes.”

The move comes as the digital product consultancy focuses on UK-wide growth, quality of service and talent attraction in 2025.

Speaking about the new office, Tuck, who was named as CEO of the Year in the digital transformation category by European CEO Magazine in 2024, said: “Having time together in person is incredibly valuable. That’s why we often spend time with clients in their offices and our larger Glasgow office.”, he added, “It’s not just about work; it’s about building relationships, sparking innovation and fostering a sense of community and culture unique to Waracle.”
