Enterprise Linux vendor Red Hat adds new build track to partner program – Servers & Storage – Software – CRN Australia

Red Hat has expanded its global partner program with a fresh Build module designed for technology partners, alongside new distributor engagement models and enhanced go-to-market opportunities.

The Build module targets independent hardware and software vendors, systems integrators and original equipment manufacturers who develop solutions on Red Hat technologies.

Partners will earn points for activities including co-creating solutions, validating or certifying solutions on Red Hat platforms, and developing go-to-market plans.

The open-source giant introduces an aligned distribution model, encouraging deeper engagement between distributors and their focused partners.

The program now integrates go-to-market activities across all modules, rewarding partners for creating co-branded marketing assets, customer demos, and proof-of-concept development.

These changes follow Red Hat’s 2024 program transformation which introduced a modular framework, standardised incentives, and upgraded digital tools.

Red Hat standardises rebates and incentives for resell and distribution partners to provide clearer visibility and predictable growth opportunities.

The updates complement existing deal registration incentives that offer additional margin opportunities for partners developing new business.

Partners gain more autonomy to select preferred distributors and develop strategic planning while building stronger collaborative relationships.

The company plans additional updates later this year as part of its ecosystem-first approach to delivering customer solutions.

Last week, Red Hat announced Gary Gray as its new ecosystem cocreation lead for Asia-Pacific Japan.
