Bank holiday on March 14, 2025 for Holi
For Holi, banks will remain closed in Gujarat, Orissa, Chandigarh, Sikkim, Assam, Hyderabad (AP & Telangana), Arunachal Pradesh, Rajasthan Jammu, Bengal, Maharashtra, New Delhi, Goa, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Meghalaya, Himachal Pradesh, and Srinagar on March 14, 2025. Meanwhile, banks in other states will function as usual.
If you have important banking transactions, plan ahead to avoid any inconvenience caused by the bank holiday on March 14, 2025. While digital transactions will remain unaffected, in-branch services will resume only on the next working day.

Two-day bank holiday
A two-day public holiday has been announced for banks in Bihar on March 14, 2025 and March 15, 2025. Other states may have a single-day closure depending on local observances.
In India, all scheduled and non-scheduled banks will observe a public holiday on the second and fourth Saturdays. While it’s a working day on the first, third and fifth (in some cases) unless specified in the RBI’s holiday list.
