MODULAR SOFA AIRE DEBUTS AT SALONE DEL MOBILE 2025

Croatian furniture brand Prostoria presents the modular sofa Aire at Salone del Mobile 2025, introducing a sculptural centerpiece that brings together comfort, adaptability, and refined lightness. Designed by the acclaimed Spanish studio Ramos + Bassols, the seating system addresses evolving spatial needs in both residential and contract interiors. Defined by its distinctive floating base – visually lifting the composition from the floor – Aire allows for flexible arrangements and shifting atmospheres, offering freedom in both form and function.

A COLLABORATION BETWEEN PROSTORIA AND RAMOS + BASSOLS

Rooted in the Adriatic region, Prostoria draws from Mediterranean sensibility and continental precision to develop contemporary furniture. For Aire, the Croatian brand collaborates with Barcelona-based design studio Ramos + Bassols, known for their balanced approach to modern design that merges emotional comfort with structural clarity. The designers describe the sofa with one word: freedom – freedom to stretch out, shift, or shape the configuration as desired. At Salone del Mobile 2025, Prostoria reveals this collaborative project for the first time within a curated space designed by Altherr Désile Park.

THE FLOATING BASE DESIGN DEFINES AIRE’S MODULAR STRUCTURE

Defined by a floating platform that lifts its volume from the floor, Aire introduces a visually light yet structurally grounded approach to modular seating. The platform functions as a compositional anchor as well as a base for add-ons like integrated side or end tables. Designed for residential and contract use, the system adapts to a variety of interior contexts and scales, encouraging flexible arrangements and open configurations. The sofa’s material selection and detailing express Prostoria’s dedication to quality and sustainability. Crafted entirely in-house at the brand’s Croatian facility, Aire incorporates recyclable materials and features reversible joints to extend its lifecycle. Gentle curves, refined proportions, and generous cushioning lend the modular sofa a sense of ease, inviting a relaxed and grounded experience.
