This unusual power strip is by Kritzer, an industrial design firm in San Diego.
“Standard power strips offer good functionality but they have two major issues: they’re hard to access and tend to be eyesores, with excess cords and Gordian knots scattered around the hub. ME-1, the magnetic U shaped power strip, aims to address both of these needs in an easy to use, straightforward manner.”
“Shaped like a U-magnet, ME-1 offers users easy access to US standard 3 prong plugs, USB ports, and USB-C ports by placing the power strip where they are – albeit under a table or on a wall. It also gives them a place to to wrap their excess cords, thoughtlessly around the unit.”
“Designed to work natively with M-Series tables, the ME-1 can also be retrofitted to work with any table with an optional mounting plate, allowing a wide range of opportunities for use in both office and home environments.”
