Bottega for Bottegas 2024 celebrates venetian craftsmanship
Bottega Veneta continues its homage to artisanal craft this festive season with the fourth iteration of Bottega for Bottegas. A celebration of creativity and heritage, the initiative spotlights six artisans based in or near Venice, the birthplace of Bottega Veneta’s craftsmanship legacy. From intricate brasswork to vibrant Murano glass, the project brings time-honored techniques and fresh innovations to global audiences.
For December, the Italian fashion house transforms its digital platforms, advertising spaces, newsletters, and flagship store windows into showcases for the participating artisans. Each creator brings a unique lens to Venetian culture, offering creations that resonate with the house’s ethos of precision and imagination.

bottega veneta pays homage to its roots through this initiative
In the Bottega for Bottegas 2024 selection, the work of each artisan reflects the enduring cultural and artistic significance of Venice. Whether through the form of a gondola’s fero or the lively colors of a Murano vase, the pieces tell the story of a city that has inspired generations of creators. The initiative also highlights Bottega Veneta’s commitment to promoting artisanal innovation.
Bottega for Bottegas launched in 2021 as a response to the challenges artisans faced during the COVID-19 pandemic. Over four years, it has evolved into a celebration of craftsmanship, showcasing makers from Italy and beyond. This year’s focus on Venice underscores the pivotal role of the city in shaping the identity of the fashion house. After all, the name Bottega Veneta itself means Venetian artisanal workshop. By spotlighting these artisans, the brand pays homage to its roots while underscoring the relevance of traditional craft in a modern world.

the project showcases the works of six Artisans
Among this year’s participants, Fonderia Artistica Valese stands out as the last surviving brass and bronze foundry in Venice. Their pieces—ranging from the iconic winged lion to the gondola’s fero—capture the rich symbology of the city through the historic sand-casting technique. Murano glassmaking is another cornerstone of the 2024 selection. Laguna~B reimagines contemporary glassware with bold patterns, while Wave Murano Glass pioneers bespoke creations.
Meanwhile, Bruno Amadi, renowned for his naturalistic glass sculptures, translates the beauty of starfish, lizards, and butterflies into vivid, hand-molded art. Modiano, the historic Trieste-based brand, contributes a leather-encased Trevigiane card deck, beloved in the Veneto region for games like Scopa and Briscola. Completing the selection, Signor Blum offers wooden puzzles inspired by Venice’s architectural landmarks, each crafted with handcrafted precision.
