New Delhi: Rupesh Jain, who founded and built Candere, has launched Lucira, a new lab-grown diamond jewelry brand, according to a media release.
Targeting modern, value-conscious consumers, Lucira will focus on rings and celebrating milestones such as engagements, weddings, and anniversaries. The brand aims to combine design, ethics, and digital-first convenience by offering certified lab-grown diamonds with AI-led customization and virtual try-ons.
Lab-grown diamonds—chemically and visually identical to mined ones—have seen increasing adoption in India due to lower costs and transparency. Lucira seeks to tap into this momentum, starting with online distribution and plans for flagship stores in key metros, followed by international expansion.
Jain said the new venture aligns with the changing preferences of digital-native consumers seeking purposeful, premium experiences. “Lucira is about combining modern luxury with responsible sourcing,” he added, highlighting India’s strong diamond manufacturing base as a growth enabler for the brand’s global ambitions.
