Colombia shares higher at close of trade; COLCAP up 1.25%


Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors propelled shares higher.

The biggest gainers of the session on the were Corporacion Financiera Colombiana SA (BVC:), which rose 4.41% or 560.00 points to trade at 13,260.00 at the close. Grupo Nutresa SA (BVC:) added 4.17% or 3,000.00 points to end at 75,000.00 and Corporacion Financiera Colombiana (BVC:) was up 2.56% or 300.00 points to 12,000.00 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Cementos Argos Pf (BVC:), which lost 6.42% or 480.00 points to trade at 7,000.00 in late trade. Canacol Energy Ltd (BVC:) declined 2.43% or 260.00 points to end at 10,440.00 and Banco De Bogota SA (BVC:) shed 0.96% or 260.00 points to 26,940.00.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 0 to 0 on the Colombia Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was down 0.89% or 2.27 to $252.48 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December rose 2.95% or 222.00 to hit $7,751.00 , while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.32% or 34.90 to trade at $2,674.20 a troy ounce.

USD/COP was down 0.58% to 4,210.29, while BRL/COP fell 0.57% to 750.38.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 102.72.
