Crews respond to fire at Freeport auto repair shop – WIFR


FREEPORT, Ill. (WIFR) – Firefighters responded to a fire around six Friday night in the 1000 block of West Avenue in Freeport.

Freeport Fire Department Chief Scott Miller told WIFR they received the call at 5:53 p.m. When crews arrived, Knowlton Motors was engulfed in flames.

Firefighters took a defensive approach to the fire. The roof of the business is compromised, according to Miller.

The fire started after business hours. All employees are accounted for.
