Delhi chief minister Rekha Gupta, while making the announcement on Women’s Day, said, “Today is Women’s Day. We had our cabinet meeting today, and our cabinet has approved the scheme – the promise that we made during the Delhi elections to provide Rs 2500 to the women. We made a provision of Rs 5100 crores in the Delhi budget for the implementation of the scheme. We have formed the committee, which will be led by me and the registration for the scheme will begin soon – a portal will be launched soon,” as per The Times of India report.

The following common documents should be kept handy by woman applicants, according to Navbharat Times, while they wait for registration process to begin soon:

- Address proof
- Registered mobile number
- Aadhaar Card
- Address proof of living in Delhi
- BPL card
- Aadhaar linked Bank account
- Annual Income proof
- Passport size photograph
- Caste certificate id required
- Valid and active Bank account to receive credit of Rs 2,500 per month.

Many existing schemes and services in Delhi require applications to be submitted via the E-District Portal. However, to apply, you must have a User ID and Password registered on the portal. Click on the New User Registration tab under Citizen Corner
Select Aadhaar Card as the document type
Enter your Aadhaar Number and Captcha Code
Tick the Consent box and click Continue
Step-2: Completing the Registration Form
Fill in your details: Name, Gender, Parent’s Name, Date of Birth, and Spouse’s Name (if married)
Enter your complete address, email ID, and mobile number
Enter the Captcha Code and click Continue to Register
You will receive an Access Code and Password on your mobile
Enter these details along with the Captcha Code, then click Complete Registration
Your User ID and details will be displayed-save this information for future use
Your login password will be sent to your registered mobile number.
