A video showing a DMC DeLorean parked alongside a Tesla Cybertruck in San Francisco shows us how these two futuristic machines look like they’re siblings separated at birth.
A CarBuzz reader sent us images of the same Cybertruck (middle gallery), albeit before or after the DeLorean arrived on the scene.
The parallels between the Cybertruck and the DeLorean are apparent, not only because of their wedge-shaped design and futuristic theme but because they both share stainless steel bodywork, an incredibly unique trait in the automotive world. The Tesla uses a newer 300 series alloy material compared to the AISI grade 304 stainless steel mounted on fiberglass found in the DeLorean.
While these look aesthetically pleasing (subjective) and unique, they can be hard to manufacture, especially if subtle curves are involved.
