How did you re-envision the set from past years?
The 2024 election marks the first presidential election NewsNation will have covered since becoming a 24/7 cable news network. Our programming will originate primarily from our two new state of the art studios in New York City and Washington, D.C. The NYC set debuted in early 2023 and the D.C. set debuted earlier this summer.
What’s a set detail that viewers at home might not notice, but will be a key part of Election Night?
We are excited to debut our interactive graphics displays, created by NewsNation in coordination with our electoral partners at Decision Desk HQ. Our anchors will be operating iPads which will display real-time data to our audience, down to the county-level. That will show viewers the state of the race as it changes in time.
We will also be displaying our DDHQ Election Pulse, a real-time probability meter that shows viewers the odds of each candidate winning individual states as well as the overall race. These are new innovations that will position NewsNation to deliver the most accurate results in real-time, and in a dynamic way.
What input do the anchors/on-screen talent have?
Our anchors are very invested in how we present our product and have been integral contributors for many months as we have prepared for the big night next Tuesday.
Describe the feel of the set in one word or phrase.
NewsNation’s presentation will be dynamic, innovative, and accessible—making it easy for viewers to follow along and stay engaged in what may be the closest presidential race of our lifetimes.
