From Japan, a Modular Stamp for Creating Calendars

Here’s a curious object: This Consolidated Number Stamp, for journalers who want to make their own little calendars.

Devised by Japanese stationery company Shachihata, it consists of 38 individual stamps (31 dates plus 7 days of the week), along with two blanks, so that you can snap them all together into a perfect rectangle.

The pieces snap together along two different axes.

You can disconnect segments and load them with differently-colored stamp pads, for instance to distinguish Saturday and Sunday. (In the image below, you’ll note that the Japanese practice is to place Saturday and Sunday at the end of a week.)

They’re available in both Japanese and English versions.
