Get the Galaxy S24 for just £179 if you give Samsung your old phone

The clock is ticking on a superb deal that could get you the Samsung Galaxy S24 for less than £180. Samsung’s latest flagship smartphone is one of our favourite handsets of the year, and you can currently buy it directly from the manufacturer for £599, which is already a £200 reduction on the £799 RRP of the 128GB device.

That’s already a great price for a great phone, but Samsung is running a trade-in deal that lets you slash hundreds more off the £599 offer price. Until 11:59pm UK time on Tuesday 3 December, Samsung is offering up to a further £420 off when you send your existing smartphone to them in a swap deal.

If you have a Galaxy Z Fold 5 with 256GB storage, Samsung will take £420 off the price of the S24, leaving you with a brand new phone for £179.

That’s the most Samsung will offer at the time of writing, alongside an identical discount if you want to trade in a 512GB iPhone 14 Pro Max. It’s worth taking a look to see how much your current handset is worth. You might be surprised as we were to see that even a Galaxy S10 from 2019 will get you £100 off the £599 sale price for the S24.

This Black Friday deal from Samsung has extended into Cyber Monday and will finish on Tuesday, but it’s one of the best smartphone deals the team here at Express.co.uk has seen across the all of November, which we should probably just name Black November at this point, such is the month-long extent of Black Friday sales these days.

The Galaxy S24 was awarded a glowing four-and-a-half out of five star review in our review this year, with technology editor Dave Snelling saying: “There’s plenty to love and little to hate about the new Samsung Galaxy S24 range. No, they aren’t quite as feature-packed as their more expensive Galaxy S24 Ultra sibling but that device costs hundreds of pounds more.

“What you do get are phones with a striking new look, plenty of power, decent cameras, long battery life and a bunch of smart upgrades aimed at making life a little easier.”

This includes Galaxy AI features that can summarise emails, help you write messages, do Google searches by circling what’s on the screen and erase photobombers from your holiday snaps, amongst other handy tools.

To get the discount, visit the Galaxy S24 product page before 3 December and select the phone to buy, and then select which phone you want to trade in. You might need to type in the phone’s IMEI number, which you’ll find in its settings app. Samsung will then charge you the discounted price, and you are then sent instructions on how to send your old phone to Samsung once your new S24 has arrived.

Note that Samsung reserves the right to block your S24 from working if it does not receive your old phone.
