A FLIGHT attendant has shared her top safety hacks for travellers to prevent hotel break-ins.
Cici In The Sky, from Florida, said room break-ins happen more often than people realise.

The travel pro regularly posts safety hacks with her 360,000 TikTok followers.
Cici said she started feeling unsafe in hotels after she “found out how easy it was for someone to break into my room” and “simple methods can be used to gain entry”.
Now she employs her safety hacks every time she stays in a hotel – revealing her top tips to stay safe and alert.
In one video, she revealed how you can prop an ironing board against the door as a makeshift burglar deterrent.
“You can just take your ironing board, lean it up against the door and ‘bam’, if anyone tries to enter you will hear it loud and clear,” she said.
Her other safety hacks include blocking the peephole on the hotel door with tissue paper to block any prying eyes.
And she shared how travellers can use two coat hangers interlocked together from the bolt and door handle to prevent the handle from being pressed down.
If you have time to prep before your trip, Cici recommends investing in an alarmed door wedge.

Cici explained that she usually places one under the hotel room door and pops another one in her bag in case there’s an adjoining room to navigate.
The flight attendant also showed her fans how to check hotel rooms before entering.
She explained how you should always do this with the door propped open.
“I have had multiple situations and I know people have had other situations,” she said.
“One time I walked into a hotel room that was already occupied when I had my kids and the man screamed and scared us all out of our minds.
“That’s when I discovered how apparently common it is that they double book a room.”
Cici said it’s not just thieves travellers should be aware of as hotel staff can often enter rooms without permission.
“I had housekeeping come into my room while I was in the shower which again terrified me,” she revealed.
“I didn’t have the bolt over on my room.”
In the event of a fire, Cici advised that you should count the number of steps from your room to the emergency exit – in case it’s too dark to see.
It comes after Cici shared the cabin crew member’s tried and tested ways to combat fatigue after stepping off the runway.
