Masaya & Co.'s Modern, Stylish and Sustainable Rocking Chairs

Rocking chairs aren’t typically known for their style. But these clean, simple models by Nicaraguan designer Abril Zepeda and produced by Nashville-based Masaya & Co. catch the eye:

Masaya & Co. founder Aram Terry started the company in 2016, after having run sustainable forestry company Maderas Sostenibles for eight years (he still runs both to this day). “[We’re] dedicated to design and sustainability,” Terry writes. “We integrate classic and contemporary designs with traditional artisan production methods in our solid hardwood heirloom furniture.”

“Our business model is seed to finished product. We offer a responsible alternative to mass production goods and manage the process from seed to finished product with our sister Company Maderas Sostenibles. Our furniture is made from plantation grown teak, as well as sustainably sourced royal mahogany, rosita walnut, and other exotic hardwoods.”

Masaya & Co. designs and produces seating, tables, desks, storage units and more. You can see their offerings here.
