MCM and Pet Therapy’s pet-friendly poufs in Milan
MCM and Pet Therapy team up for Milan Design Week 2025 to unveil a series of poufs shaped like cats and dogs. The sculptural collection, designed by Altea Biagetti with Atelier Biagetti, is on view at Giardino delle Arti between April 8th and 13th from 10:00am to 6:00pm. With the unveiling taking place in a garden, the two brands transform the space into an open-air dreamscape. Here, palm tree lights, vibrant textures, and miniature wooden houses help the space embody Pet Therapy’s vision of a playful home.
Each day, there are several changing activation events in the garden, such as Pet Pilates, dog training, and pet portraits. MCM and Pet Therapy’s collection in Milan also shares the same space as the brands’ newly launched, pet-inspired fragrance collection. At the venue, visitors can test the perfumes, each scent arriving in a bottle topped with a charming creature inspired by MCM’s leather animals. The displayed MCM and Pet Therapy’s pet-friendly poufs in Milan are available for purchase in five sizes and various color combinations.

Open-air installation and programs at Giardino delle Arti
The pet-friendly poufs come to life using outdoor fabric crafted in MCM Visetos and from the company’s upcycled factory materials. Each is thoroughly and thoughtfully crafted to offer a sensory experience for both humans and their beloved furry companions. The German and Italian design brands say they design every piece in the collection to stimulate ‘emotion, nostalgia, and connections’. The fusion of play and cutting-edge design reflects both MCM’s pioneering spirit and Pet Therapy’s signature dreamy approach.
Alongside the pet-friendly poufs shaped like cats and dogs, the MCM collection in Milan also features the playful, oversized cat sculptures from Pet Therapy’s collection. They serve as decorative objects and interactive elements designed to spark the visitors’ curiosity and invite them into moments of play and relaxation. This collaboration with Pet Therapy extends MCM’s vision beyond fashion and into the realm of experiential design. The installation is open to the public and can be visited daily from 10:00am to 6:00pm at the Giardino delle Arti on Via Palestro 8. Visitors can sign up at entry. If not that, they can even visit the site prior for a skip-the-line ticket into the space.

designed by a family, dedicated to all kinds of families
MCM and Pet Therapy’s pet-friendly poufs in Milan come to life at this time because of Alberto Biagetti and Laura Baldassari’s 11-year-old daughter, Altea. The parents and Atelier Biagetti principals say that they let their daughter express her vision as child, one that is full of magic and wonder, of possibilities without boundaries. ‘We envisioned objects that are not about sophistication, but about simplicity and immediate recognition — pieces that help each of us reconnect with that innate sense of wonder children naturally hold. Pet Therapy is designed by a family and dedicated to all kinds of families living on this planet,’ says the couple.
In alignment with this vision, the MCM and Pet Therapy collection in Milan hopes to celebrate joy, inclusivity, and craftsmanship. These are even furthered evidently with the use of playful cartoon-inspired details and illustrated pet characters. The collaboration pushes the boundaries of modern luxury. It is a meeting between MCM’s vision and Pet Therapy’s whimsical and emotive universe. The result then is a modern home design with a touch of wonder. As MCM’s Chief Visionary Officer (CVO), Sung-Joo Kim, explains, ‘At MCM, design goes beyond aesthetics—it’s about creating experiences that bring happiness and emotional connection.’
