Mobile strategy game EVE Galaxy Conquest launches October 29

CCP Games, best known for EVE Online, today revealed the launch date for its upcoming spin-off, EVE Galaxy Conquest. Developed by CCP’s Shanghai studio, the strategy game launches on iOS and Android on October 29, and players can pre-register on the App Store and Play Store now.

EVE Galaxy Conquest is a 4X strategy title set in the same galaxy, New Eden, as EVE Online. Within the game, players must protect New Eden as it’s been invaded by a malicious force. The Empire has used something called the Valhalla System to resurrect heroes to help combat the threat. Players can form fleets and alliances with corporations. They can also attempt galactic dominance of their own.

Bing Mikael Xi, EVE Galaxy Conquest’s executive producer and CCP Shanghai’s general manager, said in a statement, “October 29 marks the day when Commanders will rise to reclaim New Eden from the forces that seek to destroy it. The galaxy’s fate hangs in the balance, and we can’t wait to see the alliances and rivalries that will shape its future.”

CCP is offering bonuses for those who pre-register, based on the number of players who do so, up to a special ship if 1 million players sign up. Michael Lee, CCP Shanghai’s brand director, said in statement, “EVE Galaxy Conquest translates the vast, player-driven universe of EVE Online to the palm of your hand in a new 4X experience… By pre-registering today, players secure their place in the fight for New Eden and earn coveted rewards to fuel their initial conquest.”
