Norway shares higher at close of trade; Oslo OBX up 0.86%


Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Oslo, the rose 0.86% to hit a new all time high.

The biggest gainers of the session on the were Yara International ASA (OL:), which rose 3.44% or 11.30 points to trade at 339.60 at the close. TGS NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:) added 3.41% or 3.50 points to end at 106.00 and Borr Drilling Ltd (OL:) was up 2.94% or 1.50 points to 52.55 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:), which lost 11.76% or 1.33 points to trade at 9.96 in late trade. Kongsberg Gruppen ASA (OL:) declined 2.14% or 25.00 points to end at 1,143.00 and Nel ASA (OL:) shed 1.83% or 0.09 points to 4.61.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 155 to 112 and 37 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was up 1.11% or 0.78 to $70.97 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 1.05% or 0.78 to hit $75.16 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.07% or 1.95 to trade at $2,750.85 a troy ounce.

EUR/NOK was down 0.10% to 11.83, while USD/NOK fell 0.05% to 10.93.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 103.90.
