SIP inflow hits 4-month low; drops to Rs 25,926 crore in March


Monthly mutual fund SIP inflows dipped marginally by 0.28% to Rs 25,926 crore in March, compared to Rs 25,999 crore in February.

Overall net inflows into mutual funds declined in March, with total outflows amounting to Rs 1.64 lakh crore. Net inflows into equity mutual funds fell by 14% to Rs 25,082 crore during the month, compared to Rs 29,303 crore in February.

Debt mutual funds witnessed a sharp outflow of Rs 2.02 lakh crore in March, significantly higher than the Rs 6,525 crore outflow recorded in February.

Small-cap funds recorded the second-highest inflows at Rs 4,092 crore.

Mid-cap funds saw inflows of Rs 3,438 crore in March, slightly higher than the Rs 3,406 crore recorded in February. Meanwhile, sectoral and thematic funds witnessed a sharp decline in inflows, dropping by nearly 97% on a month-on-month basis.
