SSP reviews law & order in Jamshedpur, emphasizes tech-driven policing & festive security – Avenue Mail


Jamshedpur: A monthly crime review meeting was conducted under the chairmanship of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP)  Kishore Kaushal. The meeting, held in the presence of the Superintendent of Police (SP) for both urban and rural areas, brought together all Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs), Sub-Inspectors, and Station Incharges from across the district.

The primary agenda of the meeting was to review the status of pending cases and ensure compliance with government-issued guidelines for law enforcement. The SSP emphasized the importance of expediting the resolution of outstanding warrants, executing attachment orders, and fast-tracking passport and character verification processes. Additionally, officers were instructed to intensify efforts in tracking and apprehending absconding accused individuals.

A significant focus of the discussion was on the effective implementation of various technological and digital policing initiatives, including the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network & Systems (CCTNS), Integrated Traffic and Surveillance System Online (ITSSO), Integrated Road Accident Database (iRAD), Dial-112 emergency response system, Jharkhand Online FIR System (JOFS), and eSakshaya digital verification platform. The SSP stressed the importance of leveraging these tools to enhance crime prevention, investigation, and public safety measures.

In light of upcoming festivals, special directives were issued to ensure peaceful celebrations and maintain law and order across urban and rural areas. Officers were instructed to increase patrolling, deploy adequate security personnel, and remain vigilant against any potential disturbances. Coordination with local intelligence units was also emphasized to preemptively address security concerns.

The SSP reiterated the police department’s commitment to swift and efficient law enforcement, urging officers to work diligently in serving the community. The meeting concluded with an assurance that all directives would be implemented effectively, contributing to a safer and more secure environment for the residents of Jamshedpur and surrounding areas.
