A startup incubated at ME-RIISE Foundation of Malnad College of Engineering in Hassan has won the “Elevate grant”, which was launched by the Department of Electronics, IT, BT, and Science and Technology of the State government to support startups.
A. Geetha Kiran, CEO of ME-RIISE Foundation, said, “The startup, Chathur Pravarthan Private Limited, is engaged in finding technology-driven solutions to daily challenges. It has got a grant of ₹21 lakh under the Elevate 2024 scheme.”
This is one among 101 startups to secure grants under the scheme this year.
Dr. Geetha Kiran and Mohana Lakshmi J., chief technology officer of Chathur Pravarthan Private Limited, received the certificate of grant from the Minister for Rural Development and Panchayat Raj and IT/BT Priyank Kharge, at a ceremony held in Bengaluru recently.
The objective of the “Elevate grant” is to identify and nurture innovative startups and provide them with the necessary support. Under the scheme, a one-time grant of up to ₹50 lakh is given to encourage innovators.
Chathur Pravarthan Private Limited has been providing solutions for the maintenance and cleaning of solar panels. The company is also in the healthcare sector.
