Widespread store closures have impacted major high street retailers this year ranging from supermarkets to fashion retailers.
Health and beauty chain Boots has bid farewell to a significant number of stores already as part of corporate plans to close 300 branches across the UK.
This weekend will see the biggest blow to high streets in months as seven shops prepare to close on Saturday, October 28 and Sunday 29.
Five of them are between just three brands – Boots, New Look and Clarks, each of which will close one of their sites in England.
It follows months of relentless action by companies to streamline services and enhance their online audience.
