Taiwan shares lower at close of trade; Taiwan Weighted down 1.21%


Investing.com – Taiwan equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the , and sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Taiwan, the lost 1.21%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the were Arima Communications Corp (TW:), which rose 350.24% or 7.39 points to trade at 9.50 at the close. Alltek Technology Corp (TW:) added 9.97% or 3.85 points to end at 42.45 and Anderson Industrial Corp (TW:) was up 9.97% or 1.50 points to 16.55 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Lead Data Inc (TW:), which lost 9.85% or 0.39 points to trade at 3.57 in late trade. Sino Horizon Holdings Ltd (TW:) declined 6.69% or 2.15 points to end at 30.00 and Formosa Oilseed Processing Co Ltd (TW:) shed 6.38% or 6.60 points to 96.90.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 0 to 0 on the Taiwan Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.21% or 0.15 to $70.54 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.16% or 0.12 to hit $74.34 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.20% or 5.45 to trade at $2,696.75 a troy ounce.

USD/TWD was down 0.04% to 32.18, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.05% to 0.22.

The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 103.40.
