Toyota has released a teaser for a new model, and all signs point to it being the Century SUV. A single teaser image shows the voluptuous rear end of a premium vehicle, with plenty of high-end details and rich black paint. We can see a white-gloved individual opening the back door, suggesting a car designed to be chauffeur-driven. The Century sedan has always been considered Toyota’s Rolls-Royce, so this fits.
Apart from this, the automaker has provided no additional details except that it will premiere on September 6, 2023. But there’s still plenty to unpack here. The prominent rear fenders, chrome detailing, and squared-off rear lights strongly resemble the exterior styling of the imposing Century sedan.
What’s more, the profile closely resembles that of the luxury vehicle teased in June. We see traces of the Rolls-Royce Cullinan in the styling, which should appeal to the Century’s ‘old money’ target audience.
