THERE’S a hotel in the UK with so many activities that it has been dubbed a ‘cruise ship on land’.
The Cotswolds property is on 440 acres of parkland, with three restaurants, lounge areas, entertainment venues, hot tubs, a spa and an 18-hole golf course.
Heythrop Park Hotel is the newest addition to Warner Leisure‘s properties, and the 300-year-old Grade II building has undergone a £40 million upgrade.
There are 337 guestrooms in the hotel, all of which have windows with a view—though not one of the ocean.
As with all Warner’s holidays, the adult-only breaks will include breakfast, dinner and access to the activities and entertainment at no extra cost.
There’s plenty to do during the day, including laser clay shooting and archery outside, quizzes, chef-hosted cooking workshops, and tastings of gins, cocktails, and teas indoors.
To take the cruise ship vibe even further, many bars, lounges, terraces, a gaming area, a movie theatre, and reading rooms are available.
The spa has a 20-meter pool, sauna, steam room, thermal suite, and scented relaxation area.
Although the main attraction is the outdoor terrace with hot tubs, which can be used all year round, and reviewers say they’re a ‘delight, especially at dusk’.

When it comes to dining options, there are three options: the buffet-style Market Kitchen, the Brasserie32 and Travelling Duke restaurants.
The hotel also promises guests ‘a big night out without going out’ and without spending a penny, thanks to plenty of on-site entertainment until the early hours.
The ‘Late Lounge’ is the spot to let free on the dance floor or kick back and enjoy live music; it’s open late and has a bar.
Meanwhile, ‘The Theatre’ has a more relaxed vibe, with performances like the ‘Rouge et Noir’ and ‘Legend of the Folk’.
The hotel was only opened last year, but it already boasts hundreds of reviews, with guests saying it is ‘as close to a cruise ship as possible, with excellent entertainment venues and dinning.’
Others call it ‘a cruise ship in the Cotswolds’, while most guests say they ‘will be back’.
