RCMP have seized several drugs in Brocket after receiving a tip about a drug trafficking operation.
Piikani Nation RCMP received information that there was ongoing drug trafficking happening at a home on 14 Street in the community.
With that information, police conducted a drug search warrant at the home on Wednesday.
As a result, officers found and seized drug packaging, score sheets, pre-loaded syringes, 1.7 grams of suspected meth, 2 grams of suspected fentanyl, and other miscellaneous drug paraphernalia.
A 30-year-old Brocket resident has since been charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking fentanyl and methamphetamine, possession of Items Used in the Trafficking and Failure to Comply with Probation.
The resident has been released and will be in court on Sept. 5th, 2024.
