Toyota’s farewell to the GR Supra is going to have sharp handling and new looks and come with a six-speed stick or an automatic. It’s also going to be a massive disappointment, at least if you’ve seen what Toyota is offering as a farewell in other parts of the world. At least it’ll be a lot cheaper than what those countries get.
If you want a special edition GR sports car but don’t want to spend quite as large a stack of cash, then Gazoo Racing has another option for you. It’s the citrus-inspired GR86 Yuzu Edition, with bright yellow paint, black wheels, and some performance upgrades of its own.
Final Edition Is The Ultimate Disappointment
The Final Edition of the GR Supra is the one that will get the most attention, even if you spec it in the two new paint colors, Burnout and Undercover. Not just for the name, which is officially “GR Supra MkV Final Edition,” but for the available GT4 graphics package that adds racing-inspired stickers on the side and bright red mirror caps.
It will have plenty of real changes, too, but nothing like the beast the rest of the world is getting. In Europe and Japan, the A90 Final Edition model has its 3.0-liter twin-turbo I6 boosted to 429 horsepower. We don’t get that.

Toyota Gazoo Racing Pledges To Make Gas-Powered Sports Cars For As Long As Possible
Hybrids are a possibility (and so are hydrogen combustion engines), but GR-badged EVs? They’re not coming anytime soon.
The A90 chassis Final Edition comes with an Akrapovič titanium exhaust, oil pan baffling, and an incredibly adjustable coilover suspension from KW borrowed from the GT4 racer. We don’t get that either, nor do we get the glorious Recaro carbon buckets.
What does the US get? Gazoo has changed the camber angle at all four corners for added stability. It didn’t specify, but we take that to mean more negative angle to help keep the Michelin Pilot Super Sport rubber planted.

The Final Edition also gets revised electronically controlled shocks and a stiffer front sway bar for sharper cornering. These are the kinds of changes you’d expect an autocrosser or lapping-day driver to add, so they should make for a fun ride. Other suspension changes include new stiffer bushings for the front control arms and the rear subframe, along with a stiffer under-chassis brace.

Toyota GR Supra Says Goodbye With 429-HP Final Edition
Our final goodbye gets a 50-hp bump in power, race-derived suspension and styling, and is a manual-only celebration of driving fun.
A new ducktail spoiler, new wheel arch flaps, and higher tire spats are meant to help optimize the car’s aero balance. This move should also improve stability and handling, if only at high speeds. The Gazoo team has re-tuned the differential and engine control software to elevate the experience, and there are beefier Brembo brake rotors at all four corners.
Toyota will offer the Final Edition for both six-speed and automatic cars. Pricing for both starts from $67,950 plus freight. That’s a huge climb from the $56,900 Toyota wants for the base model, but at least it’s well under the $160,000 that the Euro final edition commands. Maybe 382 hp doesn’t sound so bad now?
GR86 Is All About Bright Yellow Paint
If the price is a bit much, maybe the half-price GR86 is more your speed. The GR86 Yuzu Edition for 2026 will have yellow paint and black wheels. It will also come with a one-year membership to the National Auto Sport Association, a deal that includes one free high-performance driving event and discounts on more.

You won’t notice that paint on track, but you will likely notice the new Brembo brakes and Sachs dampers. The new parts are already available on other GR86 models, as part of the optional Performance Package, but having them included is nice.

Take one 300 hp Toyota GR Corolla. Transplant its drivetrain into a GR86. Add some wings, lights and cool exhausts. Future motoring icon born.
Still, the package is more about that paint, which Toyota says is a nod to the very first Release Series version of its predecessor from Scion. The cabin gets some yellow accents too, as well as black Ultrasuede. Toyota will offer a cat-back exhaust as well as a new body kit for the car. Power, though, remains the same at 228 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque from the 2.4-liter boxer four.
Toyota plans to build 860 copies of the Yuzu. Pricing will come later this year, but expect it to be a few grand more than a GR86 Premium.
